Mrs Inwards

Hi, I'm Mrs Inwards and I have been lucky enough to have taught several classes across the year groups at Highwood, and am now loving teaching Year 4.  I have been teaching for over 20 years now and every day is still different. I love being a part of children's learning and watching them grow!

Outside of school I am kept busy looking after my own three children.  We enjoy walking, day trips out and going to the beach as a family.

Mrs Farooq

Hello everyone! I'm Mrs Farooq, and I am so excited to be a part of Highwood. I am passionate about creating a positive and supportive environment where each child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. I aim to make lessons as fun and enjoyable as possible, as I believe the best learning happens when you are having fun!

Outside of school, I love spending time with my three children. We love travelling and exploring and try to do it as much as we can. I also love reading and going on long walks!

Mrs Downes

Hello, I am Mrs Downes.

From the age of five, I told anyone who would listen that when I grew up I wanted to be the Prime Minister and a Teacher – so I’m halfway to fulfilling my childhood ambitions! I’ve had the pleasure of teaching children from Reception through to KS2 and am driven to make learning as natural and enjoyable as possible. For me, a day has been a success if the children go home tired from all the effort they have put in and looking forward to the next day at school. I’m a creative and practical person, so I like to spend my time drawing, writing, cooking and gardening – when I’m not running around after my family, that is!
